A Little cloudy this week but the dolphins were still making the best of it. This week we picked up an octopus during our Eco-Tour, this is a  pretty rare catch as they are so illusive. We probably get them on the net often but they find a way out before we pick it up. We brought up our net with this octopus halfway out of one of the tiny holes in the net. Octopus has no internal or external skeleton so they can squeeze through very tight spaces; I wonder how many we miss. The octopus is so smart that during lab studies they have been known to open a jar to get to a fish that’s waiting inside. All octopuses are venomous but only one species, which is the blue ringed octopus, is deadly to humans. We do not have that species in our bay.
